Yesterday morning, we attended the special assembly organised by the Niue High School to commemorate the 100 years since our Niuean ancestors and soldiers went off to the first World War. The assembly was short and sweet and all the student leaders played a part in leading the assembly. The President of the RSA – Charles Tohovaka made a speech as well as Sergeant David Priore and Reverend Aofolia Poumale blessed the whole event from start to finish. It was a touching ceremony of remembrance.
