The Niue Chamber of Commerce was invited…

The Niue Chamber of Commerce was invited to as judges for the tasting. The women of the national handcrafts association all submitted their takihi dishes in hope of winning a prize in the competition. The categories for the takihi were: traditional – taro takihi, yam takihi (takihi ufi) and contemporary takihi – anything goes 🙂

Judges for the event were – Nise-marie Jackson & Catherine Papani from NCOC, Charlene Tukiuha from Community Affairs, Io Aleke Faavae from Pilitome Touring Group and Loseligi Siakimotu an expert of Niuean culture, and Sisimoka Laufoli from Niue Tourism. Many attended to view the tasting and participate in the handcrafts and weaving. Even our primary school students dropped in to check out what was happening at the Makini Hall.
